Renting a home or apartment - no. landlords take cash.
Buying a house - yes, if i want title insurance.

Buying a car - no. owners take cash.
Driving to Canada - requires passport, authorized by treaty. i no longer go.
Driving to Mexico - the only time i've been to mexico i walked in.
Renting a hotel room - varies by hotel. most do, some don't, up to them.
Obtaining a marriage license - constitutionally questionable.
Purchasing a gun - owners take cash.
Adopting a pet from the ASPCA. ok so i won't adopt a pet, happy now?

Running for public office - last time i ran was 2010 so i could be misremembering, but i dont think so.

Visiting someone in prison - false, i use my nonphoto bar card.
Attending an NC-17-adult movie - false.
Receiving your own medical records. false. written request is enough.
