So the Supreme Court is at gridlock, and split 4-4, upholding the 4th circuit's stay of North Carolina's voter ID and other election changes.
Both sides are using this to rile up the base. Whichever side gets to pick the 9th justice will have major long term consequences. It's not the smashing victory I hoped for when I started following the NC voter ID litigation about 3 years ago. We won, but with a whimper not a bang.
The Texas case may be the next to get a full opinion.
