Can Trump win on the first ballot?
He needs 1237 votes.
He was 840.
735 are left to go.
Let's say he gets half of those. 367.
I haven't looked at which states are still out.
Generally Cruz leads the West and South,
Trump has the East and North
840+367 = 1207.
Then he only needs to pick up 30 of the 200 unpledged.
He can buy the last ten if he needs to;
Ambassador to Iceland anybody?
So I'm thinking Trump wins first ballot, unless Cruz just kills from here on.
I'm not sure if Kasich hurts or helps either side.
