Bar Association president, human rights activist. Harriet Miers' choice? Easily confirmable. I'm assuming this is for a dem seat.
Steven T. Walther of Walther, Key, Maupin, Oats, Cox & LeGoy of Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Walther is a Trustee of The National Judicial College, President of the Boalt Hall Alumni Association, University of California, Berkeley, Secretary of The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the Executive Board of the ABA Central and East European Law Initiative. Mr. Walther previously served as a member of the Board of Governors of the ABA, President of the State Bar of Nevada, Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Nevada Law Foundation, Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on World Order Under Law, and Chair of the ABA Section on International Activities. Mr. Walther has also served as the ABA representative to the United Nations. Mr. Walther has a degree in Russian and has lectured extensively on rule of law, international and human rights issues, both in the United States and Russia
OK, he's a little too well-connected; I don't trust him already.
