Greetings from Asbury Park. hat tip Hasen.
Controversy over New Jersey website.
The site, obvious crank material, was critical of some local politicians - the ones left standing after the FBI hauled off many others in a bid-rigging sting.
The targeted politicians aren't happy, and sicced the local prosecutor to conduct an investigation, and are trying to shut the site down.
Based on what I viewed here today - and I can't speak for what might have been there earlier - the site is legal, and is free speech protected by the NJ and US constitutions.
Should the politicians be investigated for malfeasance, or are they just using their own first amendment speech? I'm not sure.
